To the Spearheads,
I hear the Lord say, “it’s time for the Samuels to listen and rise up.”
The Lord is calling out to many right now but they are listening elsewhere. They are looking to man when the Lord is calling to them directly.
In 1 Samuel 3, Samuel is serving Eli in the temple of the Lord. The Lord calls to him, and Samuel says, “Here I am,” then runs to Eli and says, “Here I am, for you called me.” Eli responds, “I did not call, lie down again.” This happens three times, until Eli discerns that it is the Lord trying to speak to Samuel.
And Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down, and it shall be if He calls you, that you shall say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place. (1 Samuel 3:9, NASB1995)
I hear the Lord saying, it’s time for the Samuels to listen and rise. “I am trying to get a hold of YOU!” There has been a time of serving leaders, serving the church, a life of faithfulness and submission, which He has looked favourably on for your servant heart.
However, the Lord is saying, “I have a word for you!”
Has your faithfulness to the Elis and the temples blocked your ears to when the Lord is trying to get a hold of you? Are you looking to your Elis to tell you the word of God, are you looking to your church, your workplace, to open doors for you? Through your faithfulness to others, many of you have become good at looking to them for guidance and opportunities, but within that you have weakened your ears to hear the Lord directly.
This is not distraction, this is not division. We need priestly figures in our life, and yes, they will have a word of the Lord for us at times, but some of you have become so used to hearing the word of the Lord through your priest that you have not discerned a word from heaven direct to you.
Samuel went back to the quiet place after Eli’s discernment and said, “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.” (1 Samuel 3:10, NASB1995)
Hear this word.
This is not to rid our lives of godly submission and spiritual authority, it’s not a time to restrict our servant posture to others or the church. This is an encouragement to do this together. We need Elis who encourage their flock to seek the quiet place and hear from the Lord for themselves, then be secure enough to receive a word from their Samuels.
“So Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he [Eli] said, ‘It is the Lord; let Him do what seems good to Him.’” (1 Samuel 3:18, NASB1995)
The Lord needs His Spearheads to get to the quiet place, wait on the Lord, and listen. There are new assignments, increased authority, a releasing of gifts and graces for My Spearheads, says the Lord. It is time to rise, it’s time to grow up in the Spirit, there is a quickening of kingdom purpose over your life in this hour.
At the same time, the Lord needs leaders, pastors to release and discern the word of the Lord over their flock’s life, for the Lord is not quiet!
Words from heaven are about to rain down more frequently in the coming days as ears are opened. Foster a community and culture of encouragement, discernment, and testing.
Prophets are rising!
God is about to reveal His Samuels. Together, be the Spearheads. Find the quiet place this week and say, “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.”
Get ready for the fear of the Lord to move through you and your people, and see a great shift about to take place!

It’s time to rise. Be the Spearhead.
Yours faithfully,
Shannon.
